Hello! My dreads are going on 5 years old and I used so MANY ways to put them in because my dreads were installed by a large group during a ritual. So, some were braided, some were twisted, some back combed, some twist and pulled, you name it, they did it!
But in installing dreads on others, back combing and twist and pull are my favorite method.
Congratulations on your baby dreads! It will be quite a journey, that first year is crazy, but after that they seem to slow down in their changing. Feel free to ask me anything, anytime, I would love to offer help if I can.
