Dreadgoddess

gifts of gratitude

I have had a hard week, some of you may know. Friends who have closed doors, placed blame, and stolen trust.
I withdrew in order to heal from the pain and went to the trees, giving myself up to the mother. Asking the trees to help ground me, balance me, and bring me back to my true path. And they did.
Back straight and head held high again, I walked with Thor once again into the circle, hoping that my regained strength could last through any more hardships that may come this way.

And then the goddess moved, like she normally does, to let me know that I am back on the right path. She has blessed me with this little tree goddess, on her way to my home, roots deep, branches reaching, offering gifts to the world. With art locs and peacock dread, this little goddess shines, a reflection of my spirit, a symbol that when I try to love, even through distance, others can feel it. She reminds me that when heart has been wounded, almost broken, that karma is real, what you send out comes back to you by three.

I haven’t done much to deserve this masterpiece, shared conversation, laughter, stories and support, but when I felt the most low, when I saw my reflection stamped unworthy and thrown away, unwanted, this beautiful clay spirit reminds me that others see me differently. It reminds me that when I can not see the beauty of my own spirit, when the pain overwhelms true vision, to just turn away from the mirror and look at the reflection held in the eyes that love you. There you will always see your true self. Your goddess reflected.

Thank you Chandra, this goddess given gift will hold sacred place on my alter. Greeting me in the morning with blessings of honey sweetness for my day, and singing with me at the night’s song of gratefulness.

Many many bountiful blessings to you, sweet one.
